Re: The Fuck Happened?

I developed a fool-proof strategy this holiday season for avoiding any MAGA squabbles among the less enlightened branches of my family.  Whenever the subject of Trump would threaten to arise, I would pre-emptively steer the conversation directly into the Epstein Files.

There's been a lot of strange political bedfellows this year, especially surrounding Epstein - I didn't expect to give any credit to the likes of Thomas Massie or MTG, but don't worry; on everything not Epstein, they're still plenty racist and fascist.  Lately, this week, the good folks at Drop Site News (which is unfortunately a Substack subscription site) have been getting some viral traction when reporter Ryan Grim appeared on - of all places - comedian Tim Dillon's podcast, to expound in some detail the revelations DSN has reported from the recent Epstein email dumps over the last couple of months.  Although DSN is behind a paywall, I guess they'll allow a limited peeksie, so this article is a good one to screenshot in the meantime.  Elsewhere, you can find other summaries of their work on more publicly available sites.

It needs to be stressed that the work of DSN is based on publicly available emails which have been released by either the DoJ, the House Oversight Committee or the Epstein estate.  In other words, there is no excuse for why the revelations contained in these emails should not have been more extensively reported by our mainstream corporate news media outlets.  Obviously, it shouldn't take much of a perusal of the material to see the salacious public interest.  So, equally obviously, the only conclusion seems to be that our news media has been actively ignoring this material, probably because someone doesn't want you to know, like how they didn't want you to know when Epstein first got arrested in 2007-08.  Back when the lead prosecutor on the case, Alexander Acosta, claimed that Epstein, "belonged to intelligence" that was "above my pay grade".  These documents give a more palatable picture of what kind of intelligence we're dealing with.  Reporter Ryan Grim has described this "intelligence", involving an assortment of interests from CIA, MI6, Mossad to a variety of shadier militias, as being a "transnational cartel state", involved in moving money, weapons and people around a number of global hot spots, all at a handsome profit.  Epstein appears to have been an integral player in this operation, coordinating contacts with Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak, French president Nicolas Sarkozy, even Vladimir Putin and his satellite oligarchs.

Tim Dillon is an interesting schlub.  His chronic sarcasm makes it sometimes difficult to pin him down on his particular beliefs, but he seems to lean both to the anti-corporate/elitist left and to the anti-woke right.  I do find him to be a funny performer, because I prefer to view him as more of a parody of some kind of molestation between Rush Limbaugh and Alex Jones regardless of his intent.  (If you wish, you can find Dillon's interview with Bernie Sanders from earlier this year to see how badly he can embarrass himself in the face of a serious and sincere guest.)  After all of the other mindfucks we've had to deal with this year, I guess I'm not going to cry foul now if it takes Tim Dillon to actually get the truly damaging aspects of the Epstein story out to the public, while the rest of the DC media is content to speculate on emails about "blowjobs with Bubba".

A lot of people don't realize what's really going on. They view life as a bunch of unconnected incidents and things. They don't realize that there's this lattice of coincidence that lays on top of everything. Give you an example; show you what I mean: suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in looking for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Everybody's into weirdness right here.
