Re: Sight & Sound's 2022 Greatest Films of All-Time List

At first, I was taken aback at the thought that gbgoodies has seen three more of these films than I have, considering how she seems to specialize in cartoons and rom-coms.  Then it occurred to me that her 110 has to be out of the entire 250, and not just the recently released 150 new slots.  When I saw some of the other numbers at "165" and "183", I started to wonder a bit what was going on.  I don't know my total overall, but I'll wager I cracked 200.

Hey, at least you had space for Pulp, Bone, Private Parts, Images and Fat City. Fat City has been getting more respect the last decade or so, but those other four are still criminally overlooked

Holy Whore is better than them all though.

No Bitter Tears either.

This era is simply impossible to rank.

I'm in luck.  Iron Rose officially opened in April '73, so to the #20 spot goes Petra von Kant!

Re: Sight & Sound's 2022 Greatest Films of All-Time List

It would take me a committed week to rank the entire decade.

I hate to discriminate the more prestigious films from the genre ones, but with a couple of exceptions, I avoided the latter for those lists.  I could add a whole lot of favorites to subsequent lists.  I could probaby hit a top 100 for at least half of the years in the '70s.
