Got some stuff from a German '70s group Kraan.

Dude, I'll give you the album, god damn.  I've only ever had it on cassette anyway.

It's the last great one from Mascis at that time.  The follow-up had one fine opener,

but the rest sucked, and Without a Sound was blah.  The comeback brought back Lou Barlow, whose Sebadoh also went through a rough path with the awful Harmacy in '96.  It's like they realized that they needed each other.

The inflation on vinyl the last few years has made it that 70 dollars, at first glance, doesn't seem as grotesque as it really is. Once I realize I can get two or three others for that, it goes back in the bin. Even though I can't help but get excited anytime I come across something I rarely see. And I don't even remember the last time I came across Green Mind.

I've just recently been wanting copies of all the seminal Dinosaur albums. I don't even mind Without a Sound.

Urgh.  I like to watch some of these "vinyl community" videos on youtube, mostly for the young-uns discovering sounds for the first time that makes me feel optimistic for the future.  But I can't stand it when someone pulls out some new limited edition audiophile pressing and says something like, "It's very reasonably priced, about $60."  Fuck off, you trust-fund dipshits.  I know, you gotta squeeze the hipsters, what market they'll allow (like $8 PBR tallboys at high-end bars, ha!).  I guess I should be thankful that I live in a part of the country where you can find some pretty good vinyl for under $20 dollars still.  Give me some dollar bins at a flea market.  Unfortunately though, eBay killed a lot of that 15-20 years ago, but I can still find an original Fugs on ESP-Disk for a $10 note though.

Oh, hey.  It looks like Green Mind got a deluxe reissue in 2019 that includes all the B-sides, outtakes and a full-length concert from '91.  Well, if the package that you found was all of that on vinyl (must be 3 or 4 LPs), then I can see the $70 tag more easily.  Anyway, I'll have to hunt for that in, um, more ethereal form, for now.

I have a feeling it must have been the deluxe reissue. Even for my overpriced store, that was at least 30 bucks more than seemed reasonable (and to think less than ten years ago I would have been debating if I wanted to spend 20 dollars on the same...and would very possibly have walked considering that too steep a price)

I've always blown hundreds of dollars a visit at record stores. I'm one of those dummies who has gone without food because I blew my entire paycheck on a stack of vinyl. But back then a couple hundred dollars meant I would literally get a stack. This past visit I got five fucking records, for 205 dollars. Like, it's absurd. And, yes, I'm still skirting close to no grocery money territory.

I've been looking for that III album for a thousand years. So I've never heard a single track from it.
The only thing of their I have is The Freed Man. Which I don't particularly like, but it's been years since I've put it on.

Oh god damn dude.  It's all about Sebadoh III, Smash Your Head On The Punk Rock and Bubble And Scrape.

I can't begin.

I've basically given up trying to stumble on an original copy, but has this shit ever been reissues.

There are a few seminal bands out there that they seem to perpetually be dragging their feet on bringing back into circulation.

Tried to find III again today, but the only one around is $250 so noope.

Instead, I ordered the first Mark Lanegan solo record (why not) and AR Kane 69 (why not). Both completely affordable and completely unneccessary.

Sebadoh III got a 2 disc deluxe edition release a decade ago.  I don't know about the rest.

If it makes you feel better, I don't have any Sebadoh on vinyl.  Closest is an LP of The Folk Implosion's Take a Look Inside.  And if you want to go down that rabbit hole, there's a whole lot of Sebadoh singles and EPs that were hard to find then and must be impossible now.  And I just ripped a copy of Sebadoh's cover of Stereolab's "Crest" from youtube as I was typing this, so, you know, I don't discriminate.
