I should watch the Chapelle but. I've so far only seen an outtake. Don't know how much I can weigh in on these black jew bits though, since even though I've heard of this all before, I've neve really understood what they are getting at.
And I don't get shoe love. I'm happy if someone throws me a beat up old pair of converse they find in a trashcan. Those would be my dressing up shoes.
I'm so disinterested in shoes I can't even count how many times I've left peoples homes not even aware I've put on someone else's. Even if they look completely different and three sizes bigger than the ones I normally wear.

One of my favorite in the category of kooky African-American pseudo-religions is the Moorish Science Temple created in 1926 by Noble Drew Ali. They were harmless enough. They believed that they were the "true" Native Americans, being Moors who had traveled to the New World long before it was discovered by white men. Even in Ali's lifetime, the screws were getting loose as factions formed and knives came out, but no violence lashed out at their perceived enemies. It was pure mythological beautification. The internalized shame of slavery and its descendents required a counter-myth to Ham, a romanticized Edenic Africa where "we were kings" to compensate for a government education that ignored African history and culture. And there were African kings, a few. The thing about kings, regardless of continent, is that they like to keep the crown club pretty exclusive. The vast majority of people are descendents of laborers (voluntary or not), farmers, peasants, "common" folk. My main complaint about the 1619 Project is its suggestion that there was anything singular, unique or exceptional about the role that slave labor played in building the wealth of the eventual America. In fact, slaves built most of the great empires of history throughout the millennia. Kings don't build shit, they decree and command.
So why does humanity have this unhealthy allure to royalty in the first place? Why should it matter what "stock" you've descended from? The Rastafaris and Black Hebrews aren't the first or only groups who've been compelled to claim descendence from the biblical Israelites. Glenn Beck and Cleon Skousen have written books claiming that the "lost tribe" are Anglo-Saxons. The current House of Windsor in charge of the British Crown claims lineage directly from King David. It's all bullshit. So what is the attraction to such a claim? Everybody wants to be "God's chosen people". It's all about the perception of power. Do these people actually believe this or do they want you to believe in some kind of mystical vigor that comes from one people's blood more than any other? Unfortunately, the groups most oppressed by these illusory hierarchies are not interested in demolishing the hierarchy (as it is a perception, not a biological reality) but in usurping it, maybe using it to their advantage for a new era of hierarchical oppression with better uniforms. I wish someone would accuse me of antisemitism for stating the obvious fact that "God's chosen people" is an inherently racist concept that deserves to be abandoned along with those other primitive superstitions about crowns and thrones and providence, about birthrights and blood purity. Everybody wants to be a king, which is the definition of the fool.

I was mostly indifferent to shoes until 1) I got a pair of Adidas with a Cloudfoam insole, which was amazingly comfortable (much more so than any pair of sneakers I'd owned previously) and 2) I got a pair of cowboy boots, which look great, have gotten me my share of compliments (I am insecure and needy, please don't judge me) and I've taken to wearing as dress shoes because they're much more comfortable than any of my actual dress shoes. I even got a matching belt (the boots were brown and my existing belt was black so I needed a new one) and a recently got a bolo tie to complete the look. Unfortunately, winter has decided to ruin things as they are no good for the snow.

Kanye: “We create products of passion. I literally want to fuck my shoes. That’s how good they are.”

The recent Rolling Stone expose on Kanye has lots of juicy nuggets.
“He would be in a meeting and he’d be talking to you, and he’d rattle off in his laptop” to play a porn video, the employee tells Rolling Stone. “And he’s like, ‘I know it’s uncomfortable, but I kind of need this in the background to keep me focused.’
“He had pulled up MILF porn and was like, ‘See this feeling? This feeling that you get when you watch this? This is what I want people to feel when they put on our shoes.’
We have a name for the above shoe at least: the MILF moccasin.

Courtesy of Ergill, here's a couple of primers on the Hunter Biden Laptop/Twitter File Fiasco.
Most of the presumption of guilt for the content moderation policies at Twitter rests on the fact that a number of Twitter executives have liberal/progressive sympathies, have donated to various Dems, etc. So when Twitter chooses to "slow" engagement with a shady, poorly sourced NYPost story and delete a number of nude pics/videos of Hunter Biden with crack and prostitutes, this can only be because they are, in fact, colluding with Biden to rig the election.
Having learned from this epic mistake of bias, Elon Musk has chosen to be more objective in openly airing his political biases in order to avoid any such appearance of .... what's that?
Oh, Elon just tweeted this morning that "My pronouns are Prosecute/Fauci". Hm. I guess it's not hypocrisy if you don't care.

Some of these streams were destined to cross, as misce-conspiracism is one of the naturally amusing developments among stewed minds.
The Kanye thing has officially crossed streams with the earlier pool of Christian Nationalism/Fascism. We've been having a good time laughing at his recent antics, as he pals about with more overt alt-right imps like Nick Fuentes and Milo Yannipissoffolus, donning some kind of black mask and urging everyone that, no seriously, he's sick of these Jews. He loves them, he says, but only if they take their place in a subservient position in a Christian society. The stuff about "I Love Hitler" has become memes, haha, and all. But what we might want to pay attention to is that this is not simply contrarian provocation. In a roundabout way, it's contrarian provocation in disguise. Ultimately, Kanye is actually fairly clear about what he's saying, which is why such more experienced trolls - like Alex Jones, Tim Pool, Gavin McInnes - have blanched at his bald-faced boldness in saying it. It's like all three are trying to coach him into winky semantics, but Ye say naw, I really think we need a Christian fascist state (preferably with Ye in charge?).
In a way, it's slightly refreshing to see, in another way it seems truly dangerous. This is how I see the Kanye situation, and I will not accept any pat on the back if proven correct. I think his wheel is on fire, and he's about to crash in his own deluded messianic fashion. Everything about Ye suggests that this will be public and spectacular. I think he's crazy enough to try to launch himself into Christ-like self-immolation. And Jordan Peterson will be there weeping. It's all fun and games until it's not.

There are certain stories that can't not end badly. They have a certain tragic gravity. And Kanye definitely feels like one such example.
His career seems as if it could legitimately be finished. Certainly at the superstardom level he clearly needs it to be always elevated at. And this is not going to sit well with a man so well doused in his own narcissism. It won't take that much at this point to set him alight.
Also watching Yarn get annihilated over at Kateland is nice a refreshing, even though it can't help be frustrating to see the guy not be able to back off an inch after being repeatedly pummelled in the head.
The pummelling needs to continue though. Dude is defending high frame rate at movieforums. How low is he willing to sink?

As much as I enjoy watching Elon Musk getting booed for several minutes straight, it doesn't quite quell the depressing sight of Dave Chappelle trying to defend him. What the fuck is he thinking?
And Mr. Free Speech Absolutist has been busy trying to scrub all of the videos off of Twitter all day. Vox Populi.....

Another article on Musk's free speech hypocrisy, and it's worth liberally quoting. Musk famously bought Twitter in order to somehow make it more accountable: "Transparency is the key to trust", he said. Sounds good on paper. Very few of Musk's actual actions have suggested he intends to follow through on this. He's now removed most of the corporate infrastructure that would hold himself personally accountable - shifting its public-trading status, dissolving its board of directors, flushing out its legal counsel, slashing its moderation staff, and now dismissing its Truth and Safety board. He promised to implement a new board to consider and review moderation claims, but has done nothing to make it happen, and I'm doubtful he ever will. Now, more than a month ago, Twitter's policies and moderation processes are more opaque than ever and most of the decision-making has been centralized under Musk's singular personal control. Which would only be a problem if Musk had any kind of specific political agenda or axe to grind. But in the past two days, Musk has tweeted things like "My pronouns are Prosecute/Fauci" and "The woke mind virus is either defeated or nothing else matters".
The hypocrisy is typical troll-logic. Musk (selectively) releases loads of internal communications, under the guise of transparency, from the "pre-Musk" era, but has gone in the opposite direction under his own rule. Not only has he dismantled the fail-safes of review and redundancies that those previous communications represented (people actually discussing difficult decisions on the record), but now he's using non-disclosure agreements and the threat of litigation to keep his new executive team silent. (Vox Populi, indeed.) And even though the pretense of Musk's mission to "correct" the platform was because of the perceived political bias of its executives, Musk has been brazen in pushing his own political biases far more aggressively (and obnoxiously). Imagine if Jack Dorsey had ever publicly tweeted appeals to vote strictly for Democrats and supporting prosecution of the Trump administration. Conservatives would be screaming with their hair on fire. Musk tweets a mission statement to "defeat" a entire swath of political ideology (it's all that matters) and no one blinks an eye.
Transparency for thee, but not for me:
[T]here has been absolutely no transparency about Musk’s decisionmaking since his arrival. Where are his emails? When can we gain insight into how he’s single-handedly made numerous content moderation decisions already? When will be allowed to verify that his public statements match his private reasoning? When will we learn how critical decisions about staffing were made? The answer is: likely never, in the absence of effective legal action....
It is difficult to take people seriously when they complain about Twitter having been led by a group of titled individuals with managerial responsibilities making management decisions while they simultaneously cheer the consolidation of those tasks in the hands of one man. What Musk offers is not transparency: It is caprice. His idiosyncratic whims, for which we can only take his word without any mechanism of appeal or accountability, are the content moderation policy. It beggars belief that anyone could see this as an improvement. This mirrors the broader fiction about the takeover promulgated by Musk’s fans: that he has somehow emancipated the company and made it more democratic and accountable. But in corporate governance terms, he has simply moved from the oligarchic democracy of a publicly traded company—which, not for nothing, was required by law to disclose a great many things to the public—to a personalist dictatorship....
The sort of people who worship at Musk’s feet online—especially his newfound cadre of right-wing posters—are the sort whose every accusation is a confession or an aspiration. Rest assured that everything they have falsely accused Twitter of doing is what they seek to do to their many ideological enemies. Indeed, it’s already happening, with no transparency about the reasoning, no clear TOS violation to cite, and no process of appeal. His every move is a mockery of the idea of transparency. Is the public afraid that Musk’s gutting of content moderation staff and CSAM teams in particular will lead to a surge in such vile material? Just falsely imply your former coworkers of covering for pedophiles. Right-wing populists steeped in QAnon conspiracies will cheer you on, you will look revolutionary, and all the while things will just get steadily worse.

A recent Ipsos poll on people's thoughts about Christmas had an intriguing revelation: 21% of American adults believe in Santa Claus. 1 in 5. Adults. Grown ass people who vote, drive, may have cooked your last meal. Believe. Fucking Santa Claus. Let me help explain how ridiculous this is. In the same poll, only about half of the children asked believe in fucking Santa Claus.
This isn't a conspiracy theory exactly. But it is a perfectly acceptable epistemic illustration for why we are where we are today. Throw a rock in a crowded mall. All I'm saying.

The purge begins...
Elon Musk has started suspending the Twitter accounts of journalists who have been critical of him. The baseline pretense is that these journalists have reported on the case of one Twitter user who was using public information to tweet about activity involving Musk's private jet (called 'ElonJet' because he's a boob). Musk considers this "doxxing", or the publishing of private information. Although these reporters have written about this case, there's been no evidence that any of the reporters had published any actual "live location information" that would endanger Musk.
One reason why I'm skeptical of the rationale is that Elon Musk has recently reinstated the Twitter account of avowed neo-Nazi, Andrew Anglin, who is currently evading an arrest warrant for conducting multiple doxxing campaigns against his critics. Some people's safety and privacy is more important than others....

This isn't a conspiracy, in fact it's all too real. But it is still a good example of America's further degradation into slovenly zombitity.
I don't know what the current state of affairs is in Canadian grocery stores. Over the past year I've noticed two aggravating developments, and I wasn't quite able to put them together until recently. The first development is that I've noticed that there's a lot, several more than one would imagine, of people just hanging out in the aisles in front of shelves, taking pictures of the stuff on the shelves, and then standing there like utter fools looking at their phones, maybe admiring their compositions, I dunno. Maybe their comparison shopping online, maybe they're sending pics to someone else to make sure they get the right thing. OK. Whatever. I'm standing here. I'm in the aisle, at the shelf, and I know what I want. And I'm looking at you. You're looking at me. And then you go back to looking at your phone, maybe scrolling and tapping a little. This happened to me when I was trying to get some medicine. Again, I know what I want. This asshole does not. Get the fuck out of my way, dude. When I'm in the store, and I don't know what I want, and some one walks up to the shelf where I'm standing, I step out of the way, "Oh, go ahead, I'm just looking". After all, these aisles are barely enough room for two adults to pass each other. But then again, I happen to be a house-broken gentleman, as opposed to a numbskull savage. So I find myself having to make an NBA power move, I slide with graceful but intimidating force towards the shelf, and luckily this particular Glenn or Phil or who-the-fuck isn't too high on opiates to not jump back, and say "Hey!". I snatch my goods, say "That's right", and I walk off going about my business. I don't have time for this. I don't presume anyone has time for this. I don't exert the privilege of assuming that people should have to wait on me to make a decision. Cool phone, bro. Move your ass.
The second development I noticed is that there's been an increasing number of grocery store products this year which do not have any price markings on them or on the shelf where they're stocked. This is also incredibly annoying for lots of reasons, especially when you're on a tight budget. "These cheap ass motherfuckers must be trying to nickel and dime over some price stickers." I don't think I'm necessarily dumb for not connecting these two developments because, frankly, it's one of the dumbest things I could never fathom. One day, I'm checking out and I'm able to flag a manager, and I say, "Hi, sorry to be a bother, but I couldn't help but notice that, boy, there sure is a lot of stuff in here that doesn't have any price listed for them." She's happy about this, "OH!", and I'm immediately suspicious of her enthusiasm. "We have a great new app now! And if you see something that doesn't have a price, you JUST take a picture of it and the app will tell you how much it is!" I take a breath to slow my blood pressure, because I'm not really a confrontational person, and I politely ask, "Is this some kind of fucking game? Am I supposed to be having fun with all these mysteries and puzzles?!? Guess what, bitch, I don't even bring my phone to the store because I've got shit to do and I do it faster when I'm paying attention to what the fuck I'm doing. I don't suffer from digital co-dependency. I don't need a goddamn cellular umbilical cord for every step I make outside of my home. I just want to know how much the fucking milk and chicken is!!!!! I want to see the price just like every good and provision has every been stocked in the 300 fucking years we've been negotiating sales in dollars and cents!!! A fur trader knows a pound of flour is a dime by looking at the sign above it!!!! Technology is meant to make things more convenient than the goddamn wild west, right!?!?! Right!?!?!?!!"
Anyway, I didn't say all of that exactly, but I can assure you that I meant each and every letter.
So this is the future. You can shop here if you want, but you'll need our app if you want to know what are prices are. And, just like with inflation, people seem to generally be tolerating this indignity. And, I'm sure, some people are just happy to have yet another excuse to play with their phone in public.

Nice to see how Hope Hicks was worried about how January 6th would effect employment opportunities. Or that it looked like they had instigated a domestic terrorist attack.
The most garbage of people.
