I usually use 4K Video Downloader to snatch clips from Youtube, but it's been very wonky for me since an update last week, so I downloaded Freetube as an alternative. It seems fine thus far. I don't have too many objections as long as I can store clips locally and not on some cloud server, and I've been having less issues with grabbing the "sign-in" clips, which 4KVD was not too keen on. Also, I think it may be better for regions because I was finally able to grab the 1989 Dr. Caligari film which gave me trouble last year.
Bad Timing is still giving me issues. The clip is still on my Freetube history, but its erased the title (?!?). So there must still be certain "taboo" clips that fall outside my capability.
Anyway, what's the preferences on your digital video gear?

Intermittently, my preferred VPN runs into complications with Cloudflare, an internet security service, so I get stopped at my go-to torrent sites with a prompt that Cloudflare is checking the security of my browser and a verification process which goes around in circles. Usually, these issues get resolved after a few days or a couple of weeks, but it just so happens to have reared its head just as I'm trying to catch up on these Oscar noms.
I hopefully found a workaround (we'll see if I get an email), where I went to my torrent site with a non-VPN browser and, rather than download the torrent, copied the download link and pasted this address into my VPN browser. It appears to have evaded the Cloudflare service, allowing the download through the VPN.
Now the only problem is waiting until someone puts up a non-CAM version of Poor Things

I have to assume that you guys are also experiencing a very aggressive change on Youtube with their ads. I noticed that my Adblock had effectively stopped working several months back. But now it's gotten worse. Youtube apparently has even gotten aggressive about whether you can skip ads or not. Some ads, especially ones under 1 minute, they're not even offering a choice to skip. Others they only allow "next", to make sure you have to see more than one ad before skipping. But just now, I was looking for those Nina Simone clips, and I got hit with a 14 minute ad that I could not skip. In fact, none of the ads they showed today featured a skip option.
Anyway, something is going on, people are taking notice, but as of yet there doesn't seem to be a lot we can do about it. At least until someone comes up with a better ad-blocking app. Until then, I guess we can organize a total boycott of Liberty Mutual until they figure out that they need to shut the fuck up already.

I'm hoping this upgrade to Adblocker Ultimate will do the trick.

Here's some tips for navigating the format code on the website.
To make a quote box, type quote in brackets - [ ] - paste or type in the quoted content, and end with a /quote in brackets. Sometimes you'll run into issues with copy/pasting text from sites who use embedded formatting code and you wind up with text that's too large or some other type of mangling, so if pasting text, I prefer to "paste without formatting". Any other issues can generally be solved by selecting "Source" and simply deleting any extraneous code which might appear.
When posting images: most social media sites are extremely proprietary about their content and block their images from being posted elsewhere, so it's best not to even try. One way around this is to take a screenshot and post it first to a personal image-site account (ie Pinterest, Imgur, Tumblr, etc) before linking it here. Many 'gif' sites have also been cracking down on these images being posted outside of their platforms. And when posting an image, make sure its url address ends with a recognizable image format, ie "jpg", "png" and I believe "webp" works here as well. If the url is a mile long, it most likely will not work.

Rock, you gotta help me out with some of these Letterboxd coding tricks.
1) How do you choose different poster thumbnails?
2) How do you embed hyperlinks in reviews?
