I've got 7 out of 9 correct so far, which isn't too bad for someone who filled out my ballot in about thirty seconds, and haven't followed any of the previous awards

I don't have a tally or anything, but if I wanted to press influence through sinsiter means, I would only make sure that Godzilla wins VFX and Poor Things somehow wins score.

I hope Wes Anderson and Hayao Miyazaki are having a fantastic evening together somewhere.  Laughing at this bullshit.

Another classy choice.  Artful Ambience over Mega Pop Wow.

I also appreciate that Gosling chose not to lip-synch.

Fuck these fiddle sticks.  Poor Things was so much better.

He always preferred to be there in spirit.

Re: Another Award Season In Hell

I should probably watch Rustin but I saw a scene with a slow-mo pillow fight between the main civil rights guys and I hope that's not a big part of the movie.

Nice that Godzilla won. DGAF about the rest of the awards.

I am not above abusing mod powers for my own amusement.

I do think it's sharp and significant for Toho to win the award that "Hollywood" likes to pimp as their blockbuster asset.

I double checked, and it does appear that this is the first VFX award outside of the Hollywood system.

For an actor who's become so ripe for over acting in his old age, it was hilarious how completely anti climactic he made that reveal.

Wouldn't it be funny if people started saying he did it on purpose, as a favor to Scorsese, to make it all awkward for Christopher Nolan, to take the air out of the moment so to speak?
